The St. Thomas Stars lit up the galaxy on Tuesday night with more than just hockey action. Earlier in the evening, the Stars hosted their Volunteer Pizza Social, inviting the community to learn about volunteer opportunities with their favourite local hockey team – all while enjoying pizza.
The event was a huge success! We welcomed 10 new volunteers and cheered as many of our dedicated Game Day family returned for another season. There are still a few important roles to fill, so if the following sounds like you, we’d love to have you join our Stars family:
Strong hockey knowledge and computer skills
18 or older with experience handling cash
If you missed us at our first pre-season game, don’t worry! Join us on Friday, September 5th at our second home pre-season game, where we’ll be holding “walk-in” volunteer interviews from 6:00–6:30 p.m. at the arena. You can also email us anytime at volunteers.stthomasstars@gmail.com for more details.
