Durno named Western Conference Performer of the Week

Western Conference:
Dylan Durno (St. Thomas Stars)

2 games:  2-0-0, 0.50 GAA, .987 Sv%, 1 SO

The second-year netminder from London — recently named GOHL Goaltender of the Month for September — led the Stars to two wins over Elmira.  In a 5-1 win on Friday, Dylan stopped 40 of 41 shots faced — his third 40-save game of the season.  He made 38 saves for his first shutout of the season in Sunday’s 5-0 win over the Sugar Kings.  An 8th round pick of the Owen Sound Attack in 2024, Dylan leads all GOHL goalies in G.A.A. (1.54) and save percentage (.961), and his 7 wins are tied for most in the league.  His efforts have helped the 7-1-0-0 Stars to their best start to the season since 2006.

Eastern Conference:
Joshua Pellicciotta (Stoney Creek Generals)

3 games:  4 goals, 1 assist, 5 points

The rookie forward from Waterdown scored goals in each of the Generals’ three games — all decided by one goal.  He opened his week by scoring the OT winner in Thursday’s 3-2 win over Hamilton.  He scored his third goal of the season in a 4-3 loss to Waterloo on Saturday.  Joshua extended his goal streak to three games with a pair of markers and added an assist in Sunday’s 4-3 win in Pelham for his first career 3-point GOHL game.  He is tied for the team scoring lead with 10 points (5G, 5A).
